Your MPAN Number
A Meter Point Administration Number (MPAN) is also known as your supply number. It's a 13-digit reference that uniquely identifies every electricity supply point in Great Britain. You'll find your MPAN on your electricity or dual fuel bill, usually in a box marked 'Supply Number'.
The full supply number begins with an 'S' and is printed in two rows. The bottom row is your 13-digit MPAN, and it's the only part you'll usually need.
For example, in the supply number S 01 801 101 22 6130 5588 165, the MPAN is the last 13 digits: 22 6130 5588 165. Take care not to confuse it with your customer reference number, which is also on your bill.
If you have a smart meter, some in-home displays also show your MPAN, usually under a 'Meter Information' menu. You can also find it in your energy supplier's app or online account.
If you don't have a bill to hand, you can find your MPAN on the UK Power Networks website if you live in London, the South East or the East of England. Elsewhere, your local electricity network operator or your energy supplier can give it to you.
Note: The number printed on the meter itself is a meter serial number, which isn't the same as your MPAN.
