Why work with us
Trusting your renewable heating system to a company can be a difficult choice, which is why at Solaris Energy we’ve created a one-stop shop for our clients that includes design, installation, commissioning and full after-sales service. Our goal is to make sure we provide a superior level of service so that your needs are fully met.
As a leading heat pump designer, supplier and installer based in the South East, Solaris Energy works across Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Greater London and beyond. We’ve developed a level of expertise in both ground and air source heat pumps that is hard to match.
With over 20 years in the plumbing and heating industry, we’ve gained extensive design and installation experience across virtually every type of property imaginable.
There’s a huge misconception that renewable heating only works for new builds, and by creating successful installations for homes and businesses of all ages, styles and sizes, we’re helping to dispel that.
What Makes Us Different
We understand that being in the renewables industry makes it especially important for us to take responsibility for our own environmental performance. As a result, we’ve made several simple changes within our business to reduce our impact as much as possible.
We compost our food waste and shredded paper on-site and have switched to energy-efficient hand dryers and LED lighting. All small steps, and ones that any business can put in place.
We also participate in cycle-to-work and electric vehicle schemes to encourage our employees to choose more environmentally friendly modes of transport. At our head office we’ve also installed an air source heat pump, electric vehicle chargers and solar panels.
To demonstrate our commitment, we’ve also pledged through the SME Climate Hub to become net zero by 2030.
Our environmental responsibilities extend beyond our head office and include our installations and work on-site. We are always looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact, which is why we use a range of water-treatment products from IWTM.
Their system prevents corrosion in heating systems by filling with demineralised, low-conductivity water instead of chemical inhibitors. Ongoing protection is provided by a sacrificial magnesium anode, offering a chemical-free way to stabilise water quality and reduce corrosion in line with VDI 2035 standards.
Where defrost measures are necessary, we use antifreeze valves instead of glycol to maximise efficiency and eliminate the need for additional chemicals. We also use the Viega press system, which removes the need for soldering and hot works on site.
